FELLOWSHIP
Jesus is concerned that we have loving unity with other Followers . It is His plan for us to grow, support and care for each other through life until we are home with Him. Healthy fellowship is a sign to the world that we are His followers
Shepherding Significant Caring (Acts 20:28)
Authority is the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16)
Fellowship We can know and be known, understood. (Acts 2:44-47)
Expansion We include those seeking to meet Jesus (Acts 2:47)
Reproduction A healthy place to make disciples as Jesus asks (John 13:15, 2 Tim 2:2)
Share: Leadership.
Invite participants to share ownership of the group by giving them responsibilities. You can have a host responsible for asking people to help bring food and to set up, a prayer leader can keep the prayer list with answers and a worship leader can choose songs for the group to sing. Another person can organize the group to care through work projects. God has distributed spiritual gifts among the members. So, let them use their gifts! Remember: the ultimate goal is for each group member to become a trainer like you and start their own group! (See Zumeproject.com for video instruction.)
How To Conduct a meeting.
This model is called Three-thirds: 3/3. There are three parts to a meeting and plan that each part takes equal time. (I.E. 120 minute meeting, reserve 40 minutes for each part).
Part 1: Looking Back.
Share how I applied last week’s goal, something from my daily inquire journaling using SOAP or a God story from this past week.
Express: Someone practice their Jesus story (testimony)
Group Vision: Which of the 10 traits should our group focus on tobecome healthier?
Part 2: Looking Up.
(After reading the passage of study, have one person recount it in hisown words.) Which verse spoke the most to me and why? Does another verse create questions?
What did I learn about God?
What did I learn about man?
Is there a sin to avoid?
A command to obey?
Part 3: Looking Ahead.
What is God asking me to do?
Who do I need to share this truth with?
Prayer: Share and pray for members’ needs adding requests to “Prayers
& Answers”
