DAY ONE
The conference started on Monday 19th August 2024 at 7:30 with an opening prayer from Pastor Micheal. The disciples then proceeded t have breakfast. After breakfast, the disciples were welcomed once again by Pastor Samuel who was the moderator of the conference. He welcomed them from their different locations of origin and invited the worship team that lead the disciples through a mini praise and worship session. Abraham the head of logistics then shared a story whose moral lesson was that all the disciples are in the conference to learn and no one would be left behind. After Abraham, Pastor Samuel welcomed Pastor David, who took over the mid-morning session.
Pastor David started the session by asking the disciples one by one the reasons as to why they had come for the conference. Different disciples then gave their opinions as to why they were in for the conference. Some said to learn how to share the gospel with other people, others said to learn and grow spiritually. Pastor David then emphasized on the fact that disciples should know Christ for themselves before they can share with others by using the inquire method. He then invited Pastor Samuel back.
Pastor Samuel back, who shared the next agenda for the conference, which was having lessons on the inquire habit.
The disciples were divided into different classes. The red class led by Pastor Bob, the yellow class led by Pastor David, the blue class led by Abraham and Sharon and the green class led by Pastor Samuel. The different teams then went out to their classes for lessons on inquiring from GOD. The lessons lasted for two hours from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
In the different classes the disciples learnt about inquiring from God using the daily journal entry method using S.O.A.P which stands for Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer.
From the different classes, at 1pm the disciples went back to church for lunch. They then had a mini session recapping on what they had learnt about in their different classes with their teachers. When asked about what they had learnt in their different classes, green seemed to be the most active class giving the most answers.
When it was time to go have lunch, Pastor David and his team was asked to go first but he declined quoting the bible scripture the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first hence asking the green team that was sitting behind to go first.
After lunch, the afternoon session started with a mini praise and worship session led by the group from mukono. Pastor David , Pastor Bob and the disciples were jumping up and down showing their different dance moves. After the praise and worship session, Pastor Samuel led the next session by asking the disciples what they learnt and how they would apply it. The different disciples then gave in their answers based on what they had learnt, basing on the bible verses in the journal entry for the day which were Jeremiah 45-47;Psalms 67;John 21. He then invited Pastor David to take over.
Pastor David then continued to guide the disciples on how to inquire from God. He also asked the disciples what they had learnt from their different classes and continued guiding them on how to effectively apply and use the inquire method when journaling. The afternoon session was supposed to end with disciples going into the neighboring communities to preach the gospel but since the session ended late, the conference ended with with prayer and disciples being allowed to go and rest and later have dinner and prepare for the next day.
